It is sad to think our country has sunk to Human Rights Abuse. President Donald Trump is working with The Department of Homeland Security on a policy of terror. He wants to forcibly separate children from their mothers at the border. Why? Somebody got the thoughtless idea that it would teach them not to leave their country. Who will be responsible for the mothers who harm themselves when their children are ripped from their arms? What about the children? Where I now live, there are children who become lost in the system. They die or are killed. It takes the state sometime to find out about them. The state program is reorganizing every couple of years trying to stop this and failing. Trump and The Department of Homeland Security want to throw more bodies behind the door.
This insanity has to stop. Imagine a mother who can't get a job or feed her children. She will do what she has to in order for her children to get a chance. Now throw this inhumane policy in the picture. The family has struggled to get where she thinks there will be a chance for her and her children.
Instead of a chance, they are separated by force. This happens because she does not want to watch her children die slowly. President Donald Trump wants to start this policy because he can. The Department of Homeland Security just follows orders after giving Trump the suggestion. Our leaders need to remember who we are as Americans. Cruelty is not and should not be a part of who we are.
