A seven year old girl is undergoing surgery in India in an attempt to save her life. A 21 year old lured her to a park and used a pipe to rape her. The use of a pipe is in question by some. As if, that makes her rape OK. She comes from a very poor family. The New Delhi Commission on Women's Rights is at the hospital to help the girl and her family.
India is not ready in any shape or fashion to take its place as a super power. Women have no value in this country. That is why rape is commonplace. To rape a child shows that there is no fear of consequence.
I read frequently that India's legal system is overburdened. It does not take genius to solve this problem. Move all sex crimes to one court in each legal district. Justice would then be swift because rapist's could not hide in the present system of that country.
