Forensic audits are needed in all police departments instead of defunding them

People can be worse than animals. Animals at least for the most part operate on instinct. People will do bad for one reason usually. An older person told me when a group of us were talking about a horrific crime. "You all know he did it just for shits and giggles." Truth can't be argued with.

Being raised bad is not an excuse. When a person reaches the age of majority, if they continue to do bad it is because they choose to. I was raised bad and changed at the age of 15.  People will not change because they like what they do. Since people will not control their actions by personal choice, We as a nation need law enforcement.

The problem comes into play because of on very basic thing. ABSOLUTE POWER CORRUPTS ABSOLUTELY.  Because of that, how things are done with all police departments need to change.

Business everywhere in the United States undergo audits. If police departments do, it for the most part brief. That allows for diet to be buried.

If a police  department say for example gets ($1,000,000,000) , cool.  Now, comes what should be the easy part. On a day before the next budget, preset receipts showing how every dime was spent. The money came from the people, they have the right to know. (Be careful, I asked once and was told to let it drop for the health of my child and myself. Then I was told that no one could escape from the police finding dirt made up to look real).

If the money was not spent how it was supposed to be, then that money is withheld from the next budget. If money is found not to have been spent, then where is it? No correct answers equates fraud. Contact the FBI while waiting for an answer. Turn the case over to them. Go back another year doing the same type audit and see what may be hidden.

The first step in fixing bad practice is to start changing expectations at a basic level. Go to the following links I read before blogging.
