Mass Murder at First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs ,Texas

In Sutherland Springs, Texas, an atrocity occurred.  Devin Patrick Kelly age 26, enter the First Baptist Church  and opened fire. He was dressed in black tactical gear with a bullet proof vest.  26 people are known dead and 20 wounded. This may change due to the critical nature of some of the wounded. The victims ranged in age from 5 to 72.

I use the Urban Dictionary sometimes because it gives definitions in plain words. These killings were the actions of a coward. The third definition suits Mr. Kelly the best.  He had the genitals of male but no clue at all of what being a man was all about. See the last link.

Mr. Kelly dressed all in black tactical gear with a bullet proof vest. He sat in his vehicle across from the church waiting. There were other churches in this town. It seems that he had family ties to this church.  He drove across the street to the church. There he went inside and began his murderous rampage. He left and soon after killed himself after  a short vehicle chase.

He dressed for this atrocity in case he may have been met with resistance. The decision to enter the church was his choice. Leaving without killing was an option he ignored. His finger was the one on the trigger. The coward fled in a short vehicle chase before killing himself.  A person may be mentally ill but they know the difference between right or wrong. It is the rare person who does not the difference between right or wrong.

Pray for the victims, their families, and friends. If you do not pray please keep them in your positive thoughts.

Hurricane Harvey its devastation and how to help **UPDATE**

 A disaster of proportions that has not been encountered before in Texas has occurred. Massive flooding has occurred 20- 50 inches over night. Currently there is no end in sight for the rain. These people will need help for a while.

The last link has directions to go to links for help.There are three major charities. (American Red Cross, Salvation Army. Catholic Charities, and a Pet Shelter trying to help needs money) These agencies have links and numbers to call in donations. They also have addresses to mail in donations. Write in the For. section Hurricane Harvey relief. Give what you can, $5.00 helps.  Talk to your church leaders about how your church can help.  Keep all in your prayers. If you do not pray, keep them in your positive thoughts.

Alpine ,Texas schooting

Alpine, Texas is a small town of about 5,900 residents. It has one elementary school, one middle school, and one high school. Early this morning, one female student shot another student before killing herself. One police officer was accidentally shot by a responding Marshal. The local hospital has not given a update on the condition of those shot. Please pray for the family and friends of those shot. If you do not pray, please include them in your positive thoughts. Please pray for and/or include in your positive thought the family and friends of the shooter. They are also hurting.

Workplace shooting in Harris County, Texas

A fired employee entered Knights Transportation in Harris County, Texas. He had a shotgun and pistol. Specifically he was looking for the supervisor whom he found and killed. Two other employee's were injure by shrapnel.  The shooter then took his own life.

The first link below deals with definitions and causes of workplace violence. It deals with the psychology of workplace violence. The responsibility of the workplace is gone over. An employee getting fired should throw up a large red flag for potential violence.

Several big steps should be followed before firing.  Following is what several large companies I have worked for do in case of employee problems. Before anything, be sure all employee's know the rules. A signed statement to this effect goes into all files.

The employee action that is wrong needs to be brought to their attention. A written verbal warning needs to be given with the corrective actions for the employee to follow. Depending on what the problem is this can happen twice, Without further infraction, these are removed after a year from their active file.

If the problem continues, a write up goes on the employee file. It states the ongoing problem.and the corrective action the employee must follow in order to keep their job. This can happen twice before firing. After a year with no further problems, they are removed from their active file.

Following a strict standard in dealing with employee's leaves no room for surprises. Employee and supervisor training needs to be ongoing. Losing a job in today's economy is life threatening because most people live paycheck to paycheck. This leads to violent , reflexive actions in response to being fired. Following rules and workplace procedures  helps to prevent serious problems. They let those in charge stay abreast of problems.

Daesh / Daw'aish claims inspiration for shooting in Garland, Texas

In the United States, free speech is a right. People can do or say things that can not be done in other countries. A  Mohammed cartoon drawing contest was held. Two people opened fire outside the facility with their guns. They injured a security guard, Both shooters were killed by local police.
Cowardly Daesh /Daw'aish has claimed responsibility for the above actions. They did not plan this attack but they want to say they inspired it. Then the whole episode can be added to their propaganda.

Some claim that the cartoon drawing contest of Mohammed was provocation.  I got the following definition from google. See the definition following for freedom of speech.The people at Garland, Texas were involved in an exercise of free speech. This is protected by the First Amendment of the Constitution.

I understand passion about faith practice. What I do not understand is ignorance. To live in this country is to know that free speech and free speech associated activities are a protected right. If you do not like a activity, work within our laws to bring about a change.  To force your views verbally or by violence on others is a violation of our laws.  Also, it is just wrong! These violations will be met by force and the full weight of our heavy legal system will fall on you.

If you want to react like a  thug in a third world country, I have a suggestion. Leave the comforts  and rights you have here and go to the third world country of your choice. After 6 months, You will not think or act the same if you are still alive.

Have the testicular fortitude to speak what you believe in the open, and take your lumps for it like men.
