President Trump's test of character

I remember a class from high school. It was about ethics and its relation to positions held in state and federal government. The first thing drummed into our heads was the fact that we lived in the United States. Remembering that would solve a lot of problems before they started.

We were taught an unbreakable rule regarding state held positions.  All meetings with anyone outside of our country had to be reported to at least two or more groups of people besides  the Governor. Depending on the country, the federal government may have to be notified.  Have a written agenda to the meeting. File it with who has the authority to review it.   On return, note what was covered and what was not. Note any hidden agenda's. All conversation with people of foreign governments must have two people from your team present. File it with who has the authority to review it.

Federal positions are a whole other game with some very strict rules set in cement.  Prison is the ultimate ending for breaking most of the rules.  At no time does anyone meet with a foreign official without notifying the appropriate government agency.  President Trump and his family that he put in government positions would have know this if he not had his butt on his shoulders. They did need instruction on what they already knew, he claimed.  School age children know Vladimir Putin is not a friend to America.  After all, Donald Trump touts and points to his business dealings as giving him what he needs to run this country like a business.  See the last two links and please read them.  I chose two that were researched and were not totally for or against Trump.

President Donald Trump now has a serious problem. It has come out that during the election and after, numerous meetings have been attended by people of the Trump family and personnel with Russian people in office or in service to the Russian government. This he has denied loudly and almost constantly.

He has discovered that the President has clemency power.  He has denied that any offences were committed against the United States.  He now wants to pardon himself, family members, and associates in and out of office.

Does he now know something that the rest of the world knew all along?  Why would anyone fire and shuffle so many around involved in the Russian investigation? Answer -- They got too close to the truth.  Did God give him an epiphany? Are people he wants to pardon going to be convicted? Then he has lied about himself and his acolytes.

I retweeted the following from J.K. Rowling that says it the best.

'Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power.' Abraham Lincoln
