Regarding recent rash of shootings

I know that what I am going to say will make a lot of people angry.  As a nation some of us have forgotten our self,  Instead of focusing on unity, the focus has been shifted to strife. A man in California has been arrested for beating to death and burning to death homeless men.  The death of Freddie Gray in Baltimore hurts the heart.  A man from Louisiana and a man from St. Paul were killed by law enforcement. I watched the reports on TV and my heart was heavy as I cried. Each could have been my son.

I fell to my knees and cried out to God. After prayer and reflection, I remembered verses from the Bible that calmed the rage in my heart during times I was about to forget myself

Galations 3:28 -
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Collossians 3:11-15 -
11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, long suffering;
13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

I watched news feeds and read information from the following links before blogging.
