I watched Donald Trump's first news conference till the verbal "school yard fight" scene was over. Mr. Trump was a disappointment. He had a scenario that could have been a show ground for Presidential diplomacy skills in handling people and uncomfortable situations. Unfortunately, he failed the chance to show all America that he could handle a simple situation. Instead, he demonstrated how to start a verbal school yard fight. Mr. Trump allowed himself to be trolled by "Buzzfeed."
The reporters are not without blame. These are veteran reporters. Each has been through the fire of working with cranky and somewhat manipulative people of power. They allowed them selves to be pulled into a situation that put them and their organization in a bad light.
Both Donald Trump and the reporters forgot one thing. Fire can not last long without fuel. Feeding into each others aggression just gives people entertainment. Both sides need to stop and look to see who engineered the situation for their amusement.
I watched news feeds and read information from the following links before blogging.
