Pervasive rape culture still exists when another man rapes and burns a 17 year old.

India needs to address a monstrous problem.  It will not go away no matter how deep its leaders bury their head in the sand.  A 17 year old was burned over 50% of her body.  She told a 19 year old no when he asked her to marry him.  This coward used his physical strength to subdue the girl. Then he put kerosene on her and set her on fire.  The penalties for this  must be life altering. The rape culture will not change until this happens.  Severe penalties will help change the minds of those contemplating this atrocity.

Justice should never depend on sexual gender. It should be equal for all.  India will never be a leading nation until it rights the wrongs it allows to be done to women.  India needs women for the nation to 
grow.
