The Director of the FBI, James Comey was fired.

James Comey has been fired from the position of being the Director of the FBI.  This comes in the middle of an investigation as to whether or not Russia meddled into the campaign to elect Donald Trump for President instead of Hillary Clinton. This is the second time in the history of the FBI that a Director has been fired. President # 45 stated that he felt like this would restore public trust and confidence in the FBI.  It seems that President # 45 felt that James Comey could not effectively lead the Bureau.

This firing comes in the middle of an investigation of whether Russia influenced the 2016 Presidential elections. There are concerns that Donald Trump's  campaign had ties to Russia.  Ramifications of this firing are being looked at closely. Even if it was done according to President #45 because of the way the investigation into Hillary Clinton was handled, perception-breeds-reality as the saying goes. This action gives the appearance that it happened because the investigation into campaign ties with Russia was not going well for President # 45.  Unfortunately for President # 45, this will not make the investigation about Russian influence into the Presidential elections go away.

The firing was not handled well. It was not done in person. A manila envelope was left on James Comey's desk with President # 45's decision.  President #45 had his personal security aide Keith Schiller leave the letter.  James Comey was at a meeting and learned about it from looking at a TV channel.  This should have been handled in a way that fits the President of our great nation.  It was done in shameful manner that shows no class.
